Maria Posthumus

With great sorrow, the family announces the passing of Maria Posthumus (Grypstra) at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in her 92^nd year.   Beloved wife of the late Ralph (2005).   Dear mother of Wietse (Judy), Jane Herron, Ann (Ken) Lawrence, Dennis (Sylvie) and Mike (Sandy), all of Tara.   Mother-in-law of Pat Posthumus and Cindy Posthumus, both of Tara.   Cherished grandmother of 24 and loving Beppe of 24 great-grandchildren.   Predeceased by sons Cecil (2008) and Randy (2014), a grandson in infancy, her parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers. Maria was born in The Netherlands in 1924, emigrated to the Arran-Tara area in 1948 with her husband and first born.   She was a well respected member of her community for 67 years.   Cremation has taken place.   A celebration of life service will be held at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Tara on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11 a.m.   Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara at a later date.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.   Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 519-371-8507.
