Janice Ferguson

Passed away peacefully at the Southampton Care Centre on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the age of 78.   Janice Ferguson (nee Crawford) was born in Mount Forest and lived in Markdale, Niagara Falls and Port Elgin.   Daughter of the late William and Lois (Welton) Crawford.   Survived by her husband Garnet and her sons Shawn (Ann) of North Bay, Shannon (Kimberly) of Port Elgin and Matthew (Lindsay Tanner) of Toronto. She will be missed by her granddaughters Sarah, Jane, Taylor and Kaitlin.   Predeceased by brothers Whitney and Brian Crawford and sisters Stephanie Wright and Sandra Seifried.   Janice had been a school teacher in her early life.   She was a dedicated, caring and patient wife and mother.   She enjoyed rug hooking and gardening and was a member of the Red Hat Society.   Cremation has take place.   Inurnment at Mount Forest Cemetery at a later date.   Memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Southampton Care Centre Residents’  Council would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 519-371-8507.  Online condolences may be made through www.greybrucecremation.com.
