Captain Ronald Mitchinson

“I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,  …Put out my hand, and touched the face of God”

Captain Ron “Mitch” Mitchinson has filed his final flight plan and flown into the sunset.

Ronald Wayne Mitchinson;   Helicopter Pilot, Sailor, Diver, Biker, World Traveler and Adventurer, owner of Double Decker Fries and Little House of Dawgs was born on 09 April 1949 in Niagara Falls, ON to his proud parents Norman Rule MacGregor Mitchinson (Passed 2008) and Thelma Ellen Cecilia Mitchinson (nee Moyer, Passed 2010)

Our beloved Mitch soared away peacefully. Embraced by his Bride, “the love of my life, my  reason for living”, Adele Florentina (nee Titon),   his hairy daughter Molly (and hairy son Magee, Passed 2014) and by his family and greater family of friends on January 20th, 2017 in Owen Sound, ON.

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the doctors, nurses and support staff of the Grey Bruce Regional Health Center in Owen Sound who serve with such compassion, care, dignity and courage.

We are overwhelmed with all the support, love and prayers that have come for Ron from all over the globe. We have only begun to realize how many lives our Ron has touched.  We are so grateful and blessed. We are enjoying the stories and pictures.   Keep them coming.

To honour Mitch…there will be a celebration of his life this summer, with more details to be announced at a later date.
