Herman Koeslag
Passed peacefully at the Hanover & District Hospital on Friday, August 4, 2017. Herman Koeslag of R.R.1, Hanover, at the age of 86. Herman’s lifelong trade was an electrician and he was first class Mr. Fix-it for anyone who needed help. Living in the country he was an avid bird lover. He built bird houses and feeders for all who asked. Loving husband of Joanne (Batten) for 55 years. Dearest father of Lynda (Jim) Brink of R.R.1, Hanover, David (Kelly) Koeslag of Cambridge and Jennifer (David) Campbell of St. Catharines. Grandpa of Melissa (Jason), Meaghan (Ryan) and Nicole, Ben, Adam, Leah and Danielle, Macmillan, Hadlee and Sawyer. Also survived by his sisters Gerda (Fred) Grierson, Rickie Grierson, Marie (Klaas) Inthof and Mineke (Bill) Spencer. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Johanna Koeslag and his siblings Johanna, Gerritje, Hendrik Jan, Johan, Albert, Bill, Henk and Jerry. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Herman’s Life will be held at the Hanover Missionary Church on Sunday, August 13th at 2 p.m. Visitation with the family from 1 p.m. until time of service.
