Fred Catherwood

Frederick James Catherwood, 86 years, after a full and wonderful life, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018 in Southampton, Ontario. Beloved husband of Margaret. Loving Father of Tim (Diane 2017) and Mark, and Step-father of George (Laurie) and Les (Patty). Adored Poppa of Jessica (Jeff), Dana (Paul), Leigh (Brandon), Mary (Alex), Dixie (John), Dustin (Suzie), Melissa (Mark), Jenny (Eric), Jim (Chelsea), Joey and Douglas, and Great-grandfather of ten children. Brother of John (Joy), Bill, Darlene and the late Bob (1995) Catherwood, and Brother-in-law of Barbara (Andy) and John (Elaine 2016). Dear friend of many in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores, Toronto, London, Ottawa, Tillsonburg, and Victoria B.C. Special thanks to Drs. M. Marriott and G. Kumar, the staffs of the Southampton, Owen Sound and St. Mary’s Hospitals and the YMCA Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.

A Service to Celebrate Fred’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, Port Elgin, Ontario. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
