Steve Legate
1928 – 2018
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Steve Legate at Lee Manor, Owen Sound on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in his 91st year. During his years of employment, Steve was Assistant Administrator of the Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital and later CEO of the Meaford General Hospital, until his retirement in 1989. Survived by his loving wife Ruth of Owen Sound, son Ted (Sandra) Legate of West Kelowna, BC, daughter Marjorie Legate of Toronto, granddaughters Sarah Legate of Cole Harbour, NS and Tori Legate of Edmonton, AB and sister-in-law Joan Legate of Eagle Lake, ON. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Harry B. Legate and Dr. Marjorie E. Legate, brother Jerry Legate and sister-in-law Nancy Edmonstone. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation.
