Eileen Black (nee Holmes)

Passed away peacefully at Trillium Court on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Black (1988). Dearly loved by her children; Bev Pollock (Wayne), Douglas, Richard (Sandy Wallace), Robert, Thomas (Karen Ellis) and Ralph.  Remembered fondly by her 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She is survived by 2 sisters; Dorothy Underhill and Elizabeth Beros and 1 brother Douglas.  Predeceased by her parents Fred and Edna Holmes and also 2 siblings Horace and Ruth.  A private service of remembrance will be held at a later date.  Final resting place will be in Kincardine Cemetery.

Eileen was born and lived all of her life in Kincardine. One of her favorite activities was walking on the lake shore board walk and Lovers Lane with a group of friends that varied in size and members for over 20 plus years. She is remembered as a strong and excellent ice skater and bowled in a league for many years.
