Russell McConnell
Russell passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, in his 73rd year. Russell was a true farmer at heart always lending a hand to anyone in need. Survived by his siblings Edna Gill (Bob), Jim (Liz) and sister-in-law Ellen McConnell. Predeceased by parents Gordon and Eileen (Smith), his wife Helen Gardiner, brother Donald and daughter Sherry. Father of Lisa, Jeff, Andrew and Michael. He will be missed by the McConnell and Gardiner families. The family cannot thank Dr. Mark Robertson enough for going above and beyond to help Russell throughout his journey. As per Russell’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held. Due to current conditions, no gathering will be held. If desired, donations to Chapman House would be appreciated.
