Robert Weir

Robert Gordon Weir of Inverhuron and formerly of Thamesford passed away on July 13^th, 2021, at Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton in his 82^nd year.  He danced through life with his wife Rose. Loving father of Lois Ferguson (Tom), Greg (Sheila) and Richard (Jody).  Dear stepfather of Bill Huitema (Kristen) and Aimee Huitema (Mike).  Proud PaPa of 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by his brothers Gerry (Valerie) Weir and Murray (Sharon) Weir and nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by infant granddaughter Shaye and granddaughter Laurissa.  Bob had a long career at Hutton Transport, Uniondale.  He square danced with the Kincardine Tartan Twirlers, Huron Bruce Swingers and Owen Sound Steppers.  He loved travelling with the Bruce County Campers, and he enjoyed jam sessions throughout Bruce County.  Bob will be remembered for his friendly smile and sprightly spirit.  Those wishing to make a remembrance donation are asked to consider the Huron Shores Hospice.  Cremation has occurred and a private family celebration will take place at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
