Ruth Schwass

August 14, 1939 – October 7, 2021

Ruth Marie Schwass (nee Thede) of Saugeen Shores, passed away peacefully at the Southampton Care Centre on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Schwass. Dear Mother of Brian and his wife Sharon. Proud and loving Grandma of Tyler, Leanne, and Laura Schwass, all of Port Elgin. Ruth is survived by her brother Leland Thede and his wife Bev of Alberta and sister-in-law Marion (Dave) Kipe of North Carolina. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Marjorie Thede, sister-in-law Pauline Kennedy, and daughter-in-law Tracy Schwass. A funeral service will be held for Ruth at SouthPort Church, Saugeen Shores on Thursday, October 14th at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
