Marjorie Thomas
Marjorie Louise (Dennie) Thomas of Cargill surrounded with love passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the hospital in Chesley on May 14, 2022 at the young age of 71 from a long courageous battle of cancer. Marjorie was born in Deep River on October 2, 1950 to the late James and Berta (Carter) Dennie. Left behind to mourn her loss is her loving husband Nile Thomas of 54 years. Loving mother to daughters Pamela (Steve) Roulston, Cheryl (Kevin) Lahn, both of Hanover and son Gregory (Georgette) Thomas of Carrick Township. Cherished grandmother to Vanessa Lahn, Jake, Devin and Madison Thomas. Marjorie will be greatly missed by her brother Walter (Kathleen) Dennie of Chesley, sisters Barbara Thompson of Springbrook, Elizabeth Lawson of Newcastle, Berta (Jack) Dall of Amherstview and Catharine (Ken) Woodley of Corbyville, sisters-in-law Stella Dennie and Sharon and Elaine Thomas, brother-in-law Gary Thomas and many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her brother John “Johnny” Dennie, brothers-in-law Herman Thompson, William Lawson, Mervyn, Carl and Robert Thomas, Bill Moore and Edward David, sisters-in-law June David, Loraine and Iris Thomas and her parents-in-law Orley and Madeline Thomas. To honour her wishes cremation has taken place with a private family inurnment at the Hanover Cemetery Columbarium. A Celebration of Life for Marjorie will be held on May 27, 2022 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Hanover Legion.
