Garry J. Wright
March 7, 1957 – July 14, 2022
Garry Joseph Wright died on July 14, 2022, at his home in Owen Sound at the age of 65. Born in Orangeville, Ontario, the son of Colleen and Joesph Wright. Survived by his wife Birgit Wright (nee Madsen), his 3 daughters, Tricia Wright, Katie (Josh) Jackson and Jessie Wright (Erik Van Lunen), his 3 stepchildren, Karl (Jessica) Saelzer, Tyson (Lindsay) Saelzer and Vita Saelzer (Kevin McAra), his grandchildren, Lukas Van Lunen, Anastasia, Kaine and Victor Saelzer, Maddie and Griffin Saelzer, and siblings Stephen (Lynda) Wright and Lynda Black. Garry lived mostly in the Markdale area of Grey County, and briefly in Owen Sound. Garry was a Master Cabinetmaker. His finest achievement was the beautiful Timberframe home he built and lived in for over 30 years. He worked in the combined counties of Grey and Bruce, installing kitchens and making folks homes warm and bright. Garry’s interests were many. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and dancing with his wife. Model Railroading was a love close to his heart. He loved good company, good food and playing cards with friends. He was well loved and will be missed by many.
