Elaine Weppler
Passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022, at the Grey Bruce Hospice Chapman House in Owen Sound. Born in Owen Sound on October 24, 1942, Elaine Mary Weppler, (nee Rouse), of Owen Sound, was in her 81st year. Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Elgin Weppler. Loving mother of Tim Weppler (Kim Davis) and Sherry Weppler and dear grandmother of Bailey Weppler (fiancé, Brant Macaulay) and Alex Weppler, all of Owen Sound and Nolan Davis (wife, Christine McIntee-Davis) of Tobermory. Predeceased by her parents, Alex Rouse and Margaret Rouse (nee Edmonstone) and by her brother, Elgin Rouse. Survived by her sisters Shirley Bluhm and Sally Hargest of Owen Sound and her brother, Bill Rouse (Cathy) of Collingwood. At Elaine’s request, cremation has taken place and a private service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. The family of Elaine would like to express their sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at the Oncology Department at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound and at the St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener. A very special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at the Grey Bruce Hospice Chapman House in Owen Sound. Your compassionate care was so appreciated. The family would also like to thank all the special supporting staff from the Owen Sound and District Community Living and the Home and Community Support Services Day Away Program, held at Lee Manor, that care so much for Sherry. The family appreciates the calls, cards, flowers, food, and support received during this time. Elaine so loved her family, cooking, baking, and gardening.
