Cécile St. Germain

St. Germain Photo

Cécile St. Germain (née Melanson) peacefully slipped away in her sleep March 30, 2023 at the age of 84. Cécile and her beloved husband Richard had 6 children: Daniel, Denis (Lorraine), Lise (Rick), Colette (Danny), Gilles (Nada) and Pierre (deceased). She is survived by 7 grandchildren: Crystal (Dave), Ricky (Mariah), Daniel, Andrew, Brien, Jacques and Luc and 4 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Lucas, Tony and Gracelynn. Cécile was the dear daughter of the late Délina and Camille Melanson. Sister of Imelda, Yvonne, Yvette, Corrine, Marcel, Aurel, Edgar and Cyrille.  In addition to lovingly and expertly nurturing her brood of half a dozen, Mom found the time for sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening, and so much more! She was mostly self-taught but when we were young, Mom took a hairdressing course to keep us all fashionably groomed. And when she was 48, she took a medical secretarial course at Cambrian College and was honoured to be chosen Valedictorian of her graduating class. But Cécile felt her greatest professional achievement was her conception of Shopper Helper (stroller rental, post office, coat/ parcel check), a family business we all thrived in at the New Sudbury Shopping Center in the 1970s.  Cécile loved learning and helping others, and she did a lot of both throughout her lifetime. In the end, she expressed that she had lived a good, long, fruitful, and productive life. No doubt, she has found her place in Heaven, reunited with her great Love, Richard. The celebration of her life, and the imprint of her love will live in our memories and in our hearts forever. It is heartwarming to know that Richard and Cécile are together again.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
