Maxine Bucholtz

With much love and deep sorrow, the family of Maxine Mary Jane Bucholtz (nee Fritz) announce her passing peacefully at The Village in Hanover on July 2, 2023 in her 90^th year with her partner of 40 years, Berkley (Hammy) Hamilton, by her side.  She will be sadly missed by her sons Donald (Marilyn) Bucholtz and William Bucholtz, daughter-in-law Nancy Bucholtz (the late Lendley), and Berkley’s children Lynn (Fern) Lockhart,  Shari Hamilton and Ryan (Robyn) Hamilton.  She will be cherished forever by grandchildren Shawn (Brooke) Bucholtz, Krista (Rory) Eckenswiller, Jenna Bucholtz, Amanda (Andrew) Smith, Scott Hamilton, Zak Lockhart and Jorda Hamilton.  A great grandmother to Aurora, Nixon, Reesa Eckenswiller and Jax Smith.  Sister to Julie (the late Clendon) Hartman, Ruby (the late Gordon) Birr, the late Bud (the late Ethel) Fritz, Shirley (the late Warren) Russell and Larry (the late Joan) Fritz.  Predeceased by her parents Elmer and Wilhelmene (nee Little) Fritz and son Lendley Bucholtz.  As per Maxine’s request, there will not be a funeral service.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce would be appreciated (www.alzheimer.ca/greybruce/en).  Online condolences may be made at Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
