Allan Rubinstein
February 4, 1947 – August 1, 2023
The man, the myth, the legend, Allan Rubinstein is off to meet his maker in the sky. He will be reunited with his loving wife Christina and spunky dog, Jack. They will be making their famous kosher pickles, road tripping, camping, fishing, sitting on the porch with a hot coffee listening to oldies. Many will know him as Al the kiddies pal and Polka Roo, from his many years working as a Chief Custodian for the Toronto District School Board. He was a gruff guy with a big heart and an ever bigger sense of humour. He was not the kind of guy one would forget. He leaves behind wonderful memories of raising his daughters Katie (Trevor) and Laura (Kris), and being an incredible grandfather to his grandchildren, Steenika (Josh), Eric, Greta, Max, Nigel (Alexis) and Oscar. He was hardworking, loyal, an avid fisherman, a fixer of all things, music lover, boxer, wrestler, master of the barbeque, and among many other talents. He was incredibly proud of his daughters. A huge thank you to the loving and professional staff at Gateway Haven, past and present. Thank you to Dr. J. Van Dorp. His daughters and grandchildren will be forever grateful for your dedication, thoughtfulness, affection and kindness. As per his request, no funeral will be held.
A LEGEND LIVES ON IN MEMORY ❤️
