Gwen Dowell

January 31, 1955 – August 1, 2023

Gwen passed peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, with loved ones by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She recently moved back from Vancouver, BC to be closer to family and friends in the area.  Gwen is predeceased by her beautiful daughter Hayley, her father William Bruce Hartley and her mother Erla Miller Hartley.  She is survived by her sister Lee Hartley-Shaw and her brother Delbert Hartley.  She will be missed by her nephews Darren and Travis and nieces Darci and Keady.  Gwen has many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her kindness, sharp wit and sense of humour.  Many heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful nurses and doctors at GBHS who made Gwen’s last days as comfortable and peaceful as they did.  A very special thanks to Dr. McIver, a truly kind man.  As requested by Gwen, there will not be a funeral or memorial.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
