Carl William Dickey
Peacefully at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia (née Donald) whom he was married to for 61 years. Loving father of Chuck (Debbie), Tracey (Andy) Dempsey and Michael (Sarah). Proud grandpa of Graham, Ian, Claire and Noelle. Brother of Mary Lou MacMurchey (Dickey) and brother-in-law of Sandy (Mo) Donald. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Mae Dickey, his sister-in-law Mara McIntosh and brother-in-law Fred MacMurchey. We want to thank Dr. Doelman, the nurses and care staff on the 6th floor of Brightshores. The care and compassion that Carl and our family received, we will never forget. A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Owen Sound on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the REACH Centre Grey Bruce. Carl had an “unconditional” love for his family, friends and students and an unshakeable “positive” attitude towards life. He inspired us all to be better people.
