Del Ringel

September 24, 1941 – December 2, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Del Ringel in his 83rd year.  Del passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.  Everyone that knew Del knew he was a true family man, a kind, loving and wonderful husband, dad, grampa, great-grampa and friend.  Del was a loving husband to Doreen (Long) for 54 years and father to Kelley (Ian) and Josie. Cherished grampa to Nicki (Scott) and Joe (Destiny) and great-grampa to Brynlee, Posey, Talulla and Waylen.  Del will be missed by his many siblings, in-laws and family members.  Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Ida Ringel, and in-laws, Joseph and Corrie Long.  He was a longtime employee of PPG Industries before retirement and enjoyed his vices of sherry and lottery tickets.  A special thank you to Dr. Dale Edwards, Community Paramedics, VON Rachel and Tammy and PSW Dove.  Graveside service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1 p.m. with a luncheon to follow in the Club Room at the Owen Sound Legion at 2 p.m.  Until we meet again Dad, have fun cruising on the highway in the sky in your ’62 Oldsmobile.
