Donald Mink
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Donald Allan Mink, 71, who fought a courageous battle against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023, surrounded by members of his loving family. Born in Chesley, Ontario, Donald was a beacon of strength, resilience, and love. Despite the challenges posed by ALS, he faced each day with unwavering courage and a strong spirit that inspired all who knew him. A devoted father, grandfather, brother, husband and friend, Donald leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance. He cherished moments spent with his family and friends, with his lively and enthusiastic spirit. He found great joy in spending time and building memories with his fourteen grandchildren. His other passions included fishing, boating, and music. In addition to his role as a loving and devoted father of five, Donald was an accomplished carpenter across the province. His impact reached far beyond his immediate circle, touching the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Donald was a long time Legion member and Recipient of the Governor General’s Commendation for Bravery Award. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the ALS Society of Canada in honour of Donald. This will help continue the fight against ALS and support those affected by this challenging disease. May Donald rest in eternal peace. His legacy of love, bravery, and compassion will forever live on in our hearts. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
