Barry Bergeron

In his 69^th year, Barry Douglas Bergeron passed away on May 19^th, 2024. A man of simple pleasures, Barry found joy in the quiet moments of life; golfing, fishing, and watching sports. His golf swing was known across the city having won many tournaments and contests over the years and although he knew the best fishing holes, he would never share the location.  Born in Hamilton and raised in Owen Sound, Barry was the epitome of dedication, embodying the values of hard work. A man of quiet strength, Barry devoted over 40 years to his career as a mechanic starting first at his father Frank’s shop, then as owner with his brother Bob and most recently at Scenic City Golf Course.  Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Irene Bergeron.  Survived by children Marc (Jenna), Michelle and Ryan (Morgan) and grandchildren Brendan, Cole, Parker and Rourke.  He will be deeply missed. Barry will also be remembered by his loving siblings Bob (Barbara) and Val (Steve) and nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Owen Sound Minor Hockey.
