Jean Perry

July 12, 1923 – June 7, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Jean Perry (nee Hawkins), in her 101st year.  She met the love of her life, Joe, during WWII in England and immigrated to Canada as a war bride, where they started a family. She lived in New Brunswick early on, then moved to Toronto and then to Kitchener, where she lived for most of her life raising her children.  She moved to Owen Sound in 2002 where she spent her remaining years with her children.  She will be sadly missed by her children, Linda Peters of Port Elgin, Keith Perry of California, Kathryn Dowell (Dave) of Owen Sound and Lisa Fernandes (John) of Kitchener.  She was the sweetest human being, always giving, never complaining.  She loved to be around her family, loved celebrations and she was accepting of every person she met in her life.  She had 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  We will be having a private celebration of life in her back yard on her birthday, July 12, 2024.  Our lives will never be the same.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
