Andre (Andy) Depatie

November 4, 1929 – June 24, 2024

Andre Joseph Raoul Depatie, in his 95th year, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Southampton Saugeen Memorial Hospital on Monday June 24, 2024.  Loving husband to the late Rita Barbeau of Quebec City.  Loving dad to Serge (Lynn), Guy (Diane) and Mike (Alison) and predeceased by his eldest son Pete.  Proud Grandpa to his 8 grandchildren, Jason, Daniel (Shannon), Jennifer (Chris), Heather, Jordan (Leah), Bradley (Danielle), Andrew (Carla) and Mitchel (Jenna).  Great-Grandpa of 16.  Dear brother of Marcelle Bellemare and Pierrette Gagnon.  Predeceased by his brother Fernand, his sister Madelaine, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.   Andy will be remembered for his musical talent with the guitar, harmonica and piano, along with his enthusiasm and passion for the game of hockey.  He obtained his electrical licence at the age of 22 and had a long career of 45 years working in that field.  Andy started in 1968 with Ontario Hydro and retired in 1996.  Our family is grateful for the exceptional care given to our dad and grandpa by Dr. Billings and the nursing staff during Andy’s stay at the hospital until his passing.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  As he wished, a private family graveside service will take place, with Pastor Steve Gordon officiating.
