Phyllis Long

It is with great sadness that the Long family announce that Phyllis Iona Long of R.R.8 Owen Sound passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound on July 4, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.  Phyllis was born in Markdale on January 24, 1938 to the late David and Margaret Fitzsimmons.  Beloved wife of the late Robert Long.  Survived by her children Darlene Dee (Rick), Diane Long (Doug Day) and Brenda Long, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.  Predeceased by her son Allan Long and daughter Betty Anne Thomas.  Cremation has taken place.  A private service will be held.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
