Julia Donna Darrellene Johnston (Soucie)

October 4, 1936 – September 23, 2024

Just shy of her 88th birthday, our mother has been lovingly wrapped in the arms of her Lord and Saviour and carried home following a long and valiant battle with cancer. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by all her loving daughters. Final arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com, and she is being laid to rest with the love of her life, Cecil Johnston. Her Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.  Our mother always did her best to let others know how much they were appreciated. Many people in our area will remember her for the small hand drawn “thank you” and “have a great day” gift bags she shared with clerks and service people at every shopping adventure. Her smiles, these small tokens of appreciation and the lighthearted words she spoke brought many smiles to all whom she met.  Based on her custom of recognition and gratitude, we ask that, in lieu of donations, you please carry on her tradition of sharing God’s love through random acts of kindness and generosity.
