Karen Latimer

It’s with great sadness that we share the passing of Karen Diane Latimer (nee Colpitts) on November 18, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. The loving mother of Justin Paul Latimer, mother-in-law to Susanne Latimer and Nanny to Leighton Latimer.

Becoming a grandmother to Leighton was a highlight of her life, being able to fulfill the role of Nanny, spoiling her constantly. Justin was her pride and joy and also often her greatest annoyance as they joked around and poked fun at each other daily. While she undoubtedly loved him, we think she always liked Susanne better. She brought balance to stubborn conversations between them and gave Karen the opportunity to experience girly things with her and Leighton.

Predeceased by her husband Randy Paul Latimer, married for nearly 50 years, and her parents Chester and Audrey Colpitts of Brockville Ontario. She will be greatly missed by her extended family, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen’s name to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services.
