Catharina (Tine) Schut

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catharina (Tine) Schut (nee Beukers) on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at Summit Place Long Term Care, Owen Sound, Ontario.  Tine was two weeks shy of her 94th birthday.

Tine was married for 52 years to Theodorus B. Schut, who died in 2010. They had 4 children:   Ada (Ron), Ted (Johanna), Paul (Karen) and Peter (Cathy).  Tine is survived by 3 grandchildren Sarah (Brendan), Robert (Kylee) and Theo (Jessica) and 1 great grandson Gideon.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. There will be a funeral at Holy Family Church, Hanover, on Friday, February 7th, at 11 a.m., for anyone who can attend. A link to the livestream will be available.

The family would like to thank the Sprucewood Court Lodge (Village Seniors) Staff in Hanover for their 10 years of care. Also, we’d like to thank the staff of Hanover Hospital, Owen Sound Hospital, and the Summit Place Long Term Care residence where Tine lived for the last 6 months.
