Louis Pointon

Louis H. Pointon passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 90 at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home in Lion’s Head.  He was born in Owen Sound on January 3, 1935.  He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather.  He began working as a typesetter at the Owen Sound Sun Times and later the London Free Press.  He enjoyed curling and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a long time member of the Barrow Bay Fishing Club and the Royal Canadian Legion.  Thank you to Dr. S. Vanderstelt and the staff at Golden Dawn who cared for him over the years and who fondly remember him as “Grampa Lou.”  Lou will be missed by his family and friends.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
