Faye Elizabeth Girodat, of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Hanover and District Hospital, on Thursday February 13, 2025. She was 60.

Born in Hanover on May 13, 1964 to late Clayton and Margaret (Strader) Girodat. Faye was always a social butterfly, meeting and making friends wherever she went. She was the epitome of a kind generous soul.  She was kind, caring and full of love. Faye graduated from Georgian College in 1991. She loved her career as a Health Care Aid/PSW and made many lasting friendships both with colleagues and residents. But her favourite job was being a grandma; she loved her grandchildren more than anything.

Survived by her spouse Dennis Boyce of Hanover. Loving mother of Nathan Girodat (Emilly Girodat) and Benjamin Boyce (Erica Boyce). Special Grandma to Gracie, Penelope, Cohen and Elora. Loving sister to Jane Girodat (Murray Willits), Lana Girodat (Tim Yundt) and Ken Fritsch and sister-in-law to Marilyn Boyce. Faye had many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews, that she loved deeply. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Margaret, her brother Gene Girodat and her in-law parents Bruce and Ethel Boyce.

To honour Faye’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A come and go celebration of Faye’s life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Special Events Centre at Ground Effects, 341411 Concession 2 NDR, Hanover.

Memorial donations to Owen Sound Brightshores Hospital Foundation, Hanover Hospital Foundation and LHSC (Victoria Hospital) Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
