George (Muggs) Hudson Foster

March 17, 1937 – January 21, 2020

Peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Southampton Hospital.  George Hudson Foster, known to many as “Muggs”, passed away at the age of 82.  Much beloved husband and best friend of Donna (née Holmes).  Loving father of Kelly Foster of Georgetown.  Cherished grandfather of Nathan and Camryn Haley.  Treasured brother of Joan Chappell (late Dave), Bob Foster (late Stephanie) and Carol Rouillard (John).  Predeceased by his parents John and Rita (née Hudson) Foster, his 3 brothers Jackie, Francis and Charlie Foster as well as his 2 sisters Margaret Laronde (late Andy) and Norma Hillis (late Gord).

George was raised in Deep River and was a long time resident of Port Elgin.  He had a rewarding career for many years at Ontario Hydro.  George was known by many as “Santa”; he brought joy to numerous families over the years.

At George’s request, cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 340, Port Elgin would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
