Fred Brown
Fred Brown passed peacefully Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in his 90th year at Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton — a gentleman who would do anything for anyone. Fred loved dancing with his wife, Helen, throughout their 64 years of marriage. He loved music and equally loved sports, especially baseball and hockey. He was a kindhearted soul; always with a smile, a story, or a joke to tell. Fred will be missed by his loving wife Helen and his children, Penny (Ian), Steven and Margo. Fred was born in Southampton in 1934 and is predeceased by his parents Alice and Alfred Brown. Fondly remembered by his brothers Bev (Nancy) and Wayne (Pat) and sisters Leona (late Wilfred) and Bonnie (Raymond). Proud of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held in Fred’s honour. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and hospital staff at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital for their support. He will be sadly missed by his family and his lifetime friend Murray McArthur, sports buddies and the coffee guys. He enjoyed being a part of home and community support and driving people to their appointments.
