Bert Henderson

Bert Henry Henderson passed peacefully in his hometown of Owen Sound on February 20, 2024 in his 96th year. He is predeceased by his dear wife Bettina.  Bert was an avid world traveller, academic, historian and artist.  He founded the Southampton Art School in 1957 with 3 members of the Group of 7 on the board, and his vision for the school continues today.  Bert’s art evolved throughout his life and he enjoyed painting well into his 90’s.  Bert will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
