It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, husband, and brother Anthony “Tony” Clark. Tony was born on December 31, 1942 in West Hartlepool, England during World War II. As a young man, he served in the British Navy, married and lived in South Africa for three years and then immigrated to Canada. Tony settled in Port Elgin, working at Ontario Hydro (Bruce Power) for over 30 years, raised two daughters and built a farm on concession twelve raising horses. Tony enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including farming, gardening, birdwatching, watching Westerns (Lonesome Dove), watching soccer (particularly the Premier League), and the Toronto Blue Jays.

He passed away peacefully on Friday August 30, 2025, at the age of 82 at the Owen Sound Hospital. He will be remembered by his daughters Jill and Jody Clark, as well as his wife Carol Clark and his sisters Betty, Janice and Christine and brother Robert. Friends are invited to a blessings service at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 837 Eastwood Drive, Port Elgin on Monday October 13th at 11 a.m. where Tony will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Tony’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
