Marjorie Cochrane

Marjorie Myrle Cochrane, (born Petch) 92, of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully at Lee Manor in Owen Sound on October 1, 2025.
Marjorie is predeceased by her late husband James William Cochrane and her children Allan Douglas Cochrane and Catherine Anne Moyse. Dear sister of Morgan Petch and predeceased by brothers Gordon, Dawson, Doug and Donnie Petch, and by sisters Dorothy Weatherall and Phyllis Kirkland.
Marjorie was the proud Grandmother to Jason Morfopolous, Alina Morfopolous, Christina De Claire (Jeff), Joanne Cochrane (Ted), Allison Christensen, Shannon Gardner (Mick), James Grant Cochrane (Mischa), and Matthew Cochrane and beloved Great Grandmother to Jackson, Brooklyn, Molly, Lukah (d), Garrett, Carter, Blake, Keona, Kai, Kaeden, Ryen, Blythe.
Marjorie’s life will be best remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family and to God. She delighted in cooking big meals and welcomed everyone into her home with her generous heart and warm hospitality. She had a gift for making people feel valued and loved, always ready with a kind word, a comforting smile, or a listening ear. Her laughter was contagious, her faith was steadfast, and her presence brought joy and peace to those around her.
A Christian Funeral will be held at the Church of Christ, 835 10th Avenue East, Owen Sound on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Church of Christ, Owen Sound www.owensoundcofc.com. Special thank you to all the staff at Lee Manor and Dr Van Zyl.
