Bradford (Brad) Harrison
Bradford Gary Harrison, age 79, of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by love and memories of a life well lived.
Brad was born on January 12, 1946, in Welland, Ontario, to the late Wilder and Geraldine Harrison. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the outdoors—values that would remain with him throughout his life.
Brad attended the Ontario Police College and in 1968 moved to Owen Sound, where he began his career with the Ontario Provincial Police. He proudly served his community until 1981, after which he continued his dedication to public service by working in security with Ontario Hydro until his retirement. Alongside his professional career, Brad found true peace and purpose in farming. What began as a part-time pursuit during his working years became a full-time passion after retirement. He cherished life in the countryside, whether tending to his cattle, working the fields, or spending long hours on a tractor. The farm was not just his livelihood—it was where he felt most at home. When he wasn’t on the farm, Brad enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as spending time at ball parks and hockey rinks, always happy to support and cheer from the sidelines. He valued simple pleasures, hard work, and time spent with family.
Brad was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Beth, and a proud father to his children, Aaron and Amy. He was also a loving grandfather to Tara and Ellie, who brought him immense joy and pride. His quiet strength, steady presence, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life to honour Brad’s memory will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grey Bruce Alzheimer’s Society or Chapman House Hospice, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Bradford Gary Harrison leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, and a life rooted in family, service, and the land he cherished so deeply.
