Marilyn Wright

March 19, 1944 – March 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Elizabeth Wright (McNeil) on March 27, 2026, in Owen Sound, Ontario, the same community where she was born and spent much of her life.

Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald Gordon Wright, her partner in life. They had been together since the age of 21, sharing over 60 years of love, support, and memories side by side. She was also a deeply devoted and proud mother to Steven Wright (wife Maggie Lamotte) and Scott Wright (partner Cari Richter). Her family meant everything to her, and she took great pride in the lives they built. She is also remembered by Lana Wright and will be deeply missed by extended family and friends.

Marilyn had a special love for her dogs, Mats and Shadow, who brought her so much comfort and companionship. She was a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan who truly loved watching the games and supporting them through the highs and lows.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the incredible staff at Lee Manor, where Marilyn resided for the past two years. Their compassion, kindness, and attentive care brought comfort not only to Marilyn, but to our entire family during a difficult time. We are truly grateful for the dignity and respect they showed her each and every day.

Marilyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
