Robert Allen Martin

September 27, 1937 – April 18, 2026

Bob Martin of Owen Sound, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18th, at the age of 88. Bob was the caring, loving husband of Marilyn Martin for 61 years.

Bob will greatly be missed by his daughters Carolyn Hicks and her husband Rob of Owen Sound, Sandra Martin of Owen Sound, and Cheryl Henry of Oshawa.  Bob will also be missed by his grandchildren Sam Hicks (Kiera Jansen) and Caylie Hicks of Owen Sound, Jordan Henry of Oshawa, and his great-granddaughter Elleanor Hicks, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff at Owen Sound Gardens, where Bob lived the past several years, and the Southampton Care Centre, where Bob spent his last days. After cremation, Bob will be laid to rest alongside Marilyn at the Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound with a private family service.

Bob is having his rum and eating all the steak and lobster he can and no doubt finding a way to bring a smile to everyone around him.
