Michele Herman

Michele Herman (nee Borth) passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the Walkerton Hospital on May 1, 2026, at the age of 60.

Survived by her beloved husband Robert. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Betty Borth; her sister Bonnie (Roger) and twin brother Mike (Lori). Michele was a cherished sister-in-law to Karen, Roderick (Teresa), Michelle (Rick) and Lisa (Kevin). Michele is predeceased by her father, Norman Borth, and her brother Jim Borth. She was a loving Aunt and Great-Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Michele and Robert shared 37 loving years of a wonderful marriage and friendship. It was love at first sight and it was often said that you never saw one without the other. They supported each other’s dream of a Hobby Farm complete with horses and cats. They treasured their motorcycle and car trips with family and friends while Michele’s orange Harley Davidson V-Rod made these trips especially fun for her.

She was very proud of her Nursing career. She graduated from the Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology and received her College of Nurses of Ontario Registered Nursing certificate. She dedicated 33 ½ years at the Walkerton hospital, where she excelled in bedside nursing, her true calling. She believed in connecting with her patients supporting them with compassion and helping them heal with dignity and kindness. Michele guided third and fourth year Conestoga and Georgian College students through the preceptorship programs, helping them connect life and learning. After retiring from nursing, Michele continued her commitment to caregiving as a PSW from Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, a role she embraced wholeheartedly.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who touched Michele’s life in a positive way.
