Shirley Bluhm
Shirley Dolores Bluhm (nee Rouse) passed away, peacefully surrounded by her family, May 6, 2026 at Brightshores Health Systems.
Born in Owen Sound June 21, 1934, Shirley was in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Douglas (Jeff) Bluhm. Loving mother of Bonnie and her husband Brian Seaman and Terry and his wife Karen. Cherished Nan of Kris (Erin) and Kim (Greg Gibbons). Treasured Great Nan of Ryann, Avery, Tyler and Ellie. Dear sister of Bill Rouse of Collingwood and sister-in-law of Lillian Bluhm of Burlington and Susan Currie of Southampton. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Margaret (née Edmonstone) Rouse, infant son James, her brother Elgin Rouse and sisters Elaine Weppler and Sally Hargest.
Shirley loved her family, cooking, baking, knitting and gardening.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere heartfelt thanks to the 1st floor nursing staff at Lee Manor for their incredible care given to Mom over the past years. Thanks also to the paramedics and palliative care nurses at Brightshores Health Systems and to Dr. M. Collins and Dr. Hodgson for their exceptional and considerate care provided to Mom.
