Doreen Blum

Doreen Marie Blum passed away 27 June 2026 at the Hanover Care Centre at the age of one hundred and one. Predeceased by her husband Harold (Perp), who died in July 2006.  Loving mother of Janis (David) Neeb of Kitchener and Sandra (Richard) Begon of Hanover. Proud grandmother of Hiedi (Brett), Angela (Gord), Nathan (Sara), Jeremy and Dan (Ann). Loving great grandmother of Jayden, Madison, Keegan, Sadie, Ava, Sasha, Marissa, Lucas, Aubrey, Caleb, Grayson and Adelia. Predeceased by her parents Lorena and Norman Hillgartner and siblings Myrtle, Gerald and Robert.

Doreen was an active member with the Hanover Legion Branch 130, where she served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary and worked many years at Fleischauer’s Jewelry Store. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.

Cremation has taken place. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In memory of Doreen, please consider donations to St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hanover or Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation, Owen Sound.
