Jean Irene Long (née King) of Durham passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, July 3, 2026 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Robert Long Sr. Dear mother of Butch (Sherry) Holmes of Edmonton, Joanne (Dennis) Hines of Durham and Bill Long of Durham. Dear grandmother of Christopher Doherty, Scott and Melissa Doherty, Nicole Doherty, Andrew (Kayla) Long, Brandy (Brian) Lavender, Cody (Meagan) Holmes and Mandy (Darrel) Cunningham. Great grandma to Peyton Doherty, Noah and Emma Long, Austin and Tanner Cunningham and Reese Holmes. Predeceased by daughter Gwen Legate and son Robert Jr.
