Barbara Miller

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 11:30 p.m., the stars grew a little brighter as the beautiful spirit of Barbara “Ann” Miller left this world, peacefully and quietly, in her 88th year following a brief stay in Brightshores Wiarton Hospital.

True soulmate of Robert W. Miller. Beloved mother of Susan Tyrkus, Debra McKendry, Lisa Miller-Stiver (Ron) and Julie Miller (Ryan). Adoring grandmother of Brittany Costaris (Alex), Ben Stiver, Sola and Yale Letchford.

Ann radiated light, love and beauty both inside and out, to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She lived life to the very fullest…skiing, boating, picnicking in the mountains and travelling the world. She leaves behind a legion of wonderful friends and family.

Vascular dementia stole her mind but could never break her shining spirit.

So many thanks to the remarkable staff at Gateway Haven, who became family to us all over the last few years.

Thanks also for the compassionate care she received during her brief stay in Brightshores Wiarton Hospital.

Celebration of Life to be held Chartwell/Seasons in Owen Sound on Sunday, November 22nd from 2 – 4 p.m., with eulogies at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce would be greatly appreciated.
