Bill Carnahan

November 7, 1932 – May 29, 2018

Bill Carnahan passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at the Southampton Care Centre on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.  Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Laura (Holmes) for 60 years.  Loving father of Sue Wright, Cindy Rainville (Gerry), Bill Carnahan Jr. (Cathy) and Becky Gibbons (Geordie).  Proud grandpa of 12 grandchildren, Tina Hicks (Matt), Kate Sutch (Mike) and Jake Wright (Jen); Michelle Rainville, Alison Disla (Keuris) and Heather Rainville; Sasha Carnahan, Nick Carnahan (Shawna) and Mike Marcovecchio; Travis, Benson and Valerie Gibbons.  Remembered by Steve VandeVoren.  He will be missed by his 11 great-grandchildren, Liam, Darion, Khyler and Jovin Hicks; Emmit, Treyson and Aniya Sutch; Chloe, Aiden and Bronson VandeVoren; and Braelyn Disla.  Survived by his brothers Ken and Allan (Dorothy).  Predeceased by his parents Judson and Sadie Carnahan (Belrose), sister Florence and sister-in-law Joan Carnahan.  After retiring from farming for 29 years in the Chatsworth area, Bill took up his second passion of woodworking.  A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.  Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.  Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
