Elizabeth (Betty) Smith

May 27, 1942 to December 2, 2018

We are saddened to share the news of losing Betty (Mom) while at Owen Sound Regional Hospital on Sunday December 2, 2018. Betty relished her roles as a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and aunt. Betty was born in New Brunswick and spent many of her early childhood years growing up in Hamilton with her five brothers and sisters. Her adult years were spent primarily in Mississauga raising her two children, Glenn and Cheryl. She moved to Georgian Bay north of Owen Sound in 1990, a place she truly loved.  Betty spent every chance she could watching her granddaughters Brittany, Madison and Stacey grow up. Betty is survived by her son Glenn Smith (Angie) and daughter Cheryl Dors (Rob) and her granddaughters Brittany and Madison Dors. She is predeceased by her granddaughter Stacey Smith. Betty adored her family as they did she, and she will be truly missed.  A private Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of next year by Betty’s immediate family.
