Arnold (Pete) McKeeman
Passed away at the Walkerton Hospital on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Pete McKeeman of Walkerton, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Reta May (nee Foreman) for 56 years. Dear father of Mark (Hawley) of North Gower, Krista (Andy) Ritchie of Kincardine and Brad (Amy Linn) of Walkerton. Cherished grandfather of Meghan, Olivia, Morgan, Lydia, Jeremy, Alicia, Jacob, Meghan and Tanner and great-grandfather of Austin. Also survived by his sister Clara Surridge of Tiverton and brother-in-law Robert (Naomi) Foreman of Walkerton. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his sister Jean Marie McKeeman and brothers-in-law Mac Surridge and John Foreman. Pete sailed the St. Lawrence Seaway, later becoming a licensed carpenter and proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 2222. He was a real enthusiast at building and flying aircraft and enjoyed his other hobbies of hunting, trapping, fishing and gardening. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Pete’s Life will be held at the Walkerton Pentecostal Church, 1736 Highway 9 South, Walkerton on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. Pastor Chris Cochrane will be officiating.
