Sharon McLaren (Maher)
Sharon McLaren passed away peacefully in Owen Sound, with Michelle by her side, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Don McLaren (2010). Loving mother of Paul and his wife Joanne of Chesley, Leeann and her husband Larry Barfoot and Michelle and her husband Michael Hiscox, both of Owen Sound. Dear grandmother of Brodie Barfoot (Alisha) and Nathan Barfoot (Katie), Christopher Hiscox and Briana Hiscox (Adam), Erika McLaren, Courtney Parker (Mitch), Jamie Parker (Rebecca) and Nicole Fischer (Brandon). Great grandmother of Bo Barfoot, Lily Parker and Oliver Cameron. Also survived by her twin sister Rosemary Kelso, sisters-in-law Jean Maher and Joan Brophy and brother-in-law Bill Kelso. Predeceased by her brother Nelson Maher and mother Marie Maher. Cremation has taken place. Private family funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 554 15th Street East, Owen Sound on September 2, 2020 at 11 a.m As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League would be appreciated.
