Nancy Weese
June 21st, 2015 an extraordinary woman left us. Her love of cooking, her many creative talents, her tenacious will to live and her ability to find beauty in every day are just some of the many gifts she leaves with us. Deeply loved and missed by her devoted husband of 34 years John Gooding. Also missed by her mother Margaret, sisters Sue (Art) and Sandy (Andrew), brother Jim and sister-in-laws Mary Catharine (Fred) and Angela. Predeceased by her father Lawrence, sister Beverly and brother Larry. Much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Nancy easily made friends wherever she went and will be missed by all, but none more than her closest friend and trusted confidant Susan Quiquero. Nancy’s aptitude for logical thought and expertise in solving problems served her well in her career as an IT professional working at Black Clawson Kennedy, Saint-Gobain and Edwards. Nancy’s ability to see through challenges, her unrelenting faith in her own ability to move forward and a deep reservoir of courage enabled her to battle cancer for many years. Nancy managed her illness it did not manage her, nor did it define her. She was a medical marvel to health care professionals and an inspiration to those with health challenges of their own. She would not accept mediocrity and she was her own health care advocate. Nancy lived her final days with the same grace she had throughout her life, thanking others for their help and bestowing upon them her magical smile. Per Nancy’s wishes a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services. Messages of condolences may be sent to www.greybrucecremation.com. Donations in Nancy’s memory would be gratefully accepted at the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, www.greybrucehospice.com.
