Lyn Myles
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lyn Myles on November 24, 2022 after her long fight with cancer at the age of 68 years. She was born on June 11, 1954 to William (Bill) O’Connor and Barbara O’Connor in Owen Sound. Lyn was a West Hill Secondary School Scholar and received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph, before taking College Lab Technology courses. She married Dave Myles and they raised three children together, Zeke, Tyler and Davyn. She worked as a Blood Lab Technologist in Pine Bluff, Arkansas hospital before she came to work at the Owen Sound Hospital. Lyn was avid in fitness, jogging and enjoyed skiing growing up but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to read books, watch television shows like “I Love Lucy” and enjoyed watching crime investigation shows and soap operas. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed going for walks with her children and grandchildren. She was extremely intelligent and enjoyed solving puzzles, mind-teasers and word games. She had a boundless love for her children and grandchildren and would do anything she could to ensure they were taken care of. Lyn is survived by parents Bill and Barb O’Connor, children Zeke Myles (Crystal), Tyler Myles (Jenny) and Davyn Goodale (Jamie), grandchildren Linkin, Ella, Dylan, Caius, Willow, Felicia and Selena, siblings Larry O’Connor (Mary) and Ted O’Connor (Lynn) and nieces Kate, Danielle and Kailey. A Celebration of Lyn’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Tyler and Jenny’s house. Please reach out to members of the family for more information.
