Lloyd “Griff” Griffin

Roy Lloyd John Griffin passed away at the Durham Hospital on Saturday, July 15, 2023 in his 76th year.  Griff is survived by his daughter Lisa (Ken) Monk and son Bill (Tara) Griffin, grandchildren Kevin (Shawna), Brett, Leigha (Aaron), Austin and Ava and great grandchildren Ariella and Emmett.  Dear brother of Joan (Bill) MacMillan, Harold “Butch” (Marian) Griffin and Patsy (Carl) Kitchen.  Predeceased by parents Harold and Lorna Griffin and siblings Marie (Dave) Nixon, Wilma (Jim) Lindsay and Joyce Whiteside. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Griff will be fondly remembered by fellow teammates from the Durham 72’s, Priceville, IGA, Duke’s and many others.  Thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of the Durham Hospital for your excellent care.  As per Griff’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private gathering will take place at a later date.  Memorial donations in memory of Griff may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 308, Durham.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, www.greybrucecremation.com.
