Karen Ann Schnarr

April 25, 1950 – August 14, 2023

Karen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Miller Lake, Ontario on Monday, August 14, 2023 in her 74th year.  Karen is survived by her loving husband James Schnarr of 54 years. Loving mother of Tammy (Kevin) Paul.  Cherished grandmother of Ashley (Anthony) Lemarcotte, Brittanie Paul (Matthew Lanteigne) and Randi Paul (Daiken Salsman) and great grandmother of Gemma, Brinley, Ryleigh and Madison and great grand pup Simba.  Dear sister of Kim Greenaway of Lethbridge, Alberta.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents, Mary Agnes Merner and Robert Merner and her siblings, Beverly Ermel, Robin Walker, Robert Merner and Patrick Merner.  Thank you to the many nurses and doctors in London, Owen Sound and Lion’s Head, VON, Bruce Peninsula Home Care and volunteers who took care of her the last few years as she battled her illness.  She was a fighter.  Cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Karen during a visitation at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation (Lion’s Head Hospital) or a charity of your choice.  Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
